Sorry for not posting in so terribly long. It has been one busy spring around our place and, to be honest, I haven't made time for this exercise. I know that I should. I enjoy my writing time, it's been one of those things I can hold onto no matter how good or bad life gets.
Let me think back. Since we left off at February 3 a lot has happened. First off Gray signed up for his first season of soccer, had one practice, fell off of his bed, broke his arm, and has played one whole soccer game. Oh, did I mention I'm the coach of the soccer team? Yes, that's right... you can only imagine me coaching nine five and six-year-olds.
Tracy has been, well, an exponential version of himself. He is going through some sort of late three's version of the terrible twos. He's as sweet and cute as ever, but boy can he throw a fit. We're slowly starting to get him to reign it in but it's been especially challenging for everyone.
I'm working, Shelly's working, life's busy, everything's hectic. Sometimes I wonder if there's something to slow it down, but I really don't see that there is. It's as if we do everything in our power to try and get some rest but rest is replaced with some variety of business. I suppose it is one of those means of Grace by which the Lord reminds us that there is nothing under the sun within our own power. It's interesting when you come to your end you realize you can only find rest in the Lord.
So long for now. On to the next thing.
