One year...

I am looking back again. Today is my other birthday, not the one where my Earthly life began but the one where someone gladly handed my life back to me.

This I do not fret or lament, I do not look forward with great optimism about things to come, I just remember. I remember how things were, I look at how things are. I remember where things were headed, I look at where I am at now. Today is the day I remember everyone deserves second chances. Today is the day I got my second chance.

So in honesty, look at your second chances today. Look back and remember the time when someone gave you another shot. Realize you wouldn't be where you are today without someone believing in you enough to let you try again. Look forward and know someone out there needs their second chance, and even if you have nothing to do with what got them where they are today, be the one to stick out your hand to help when no one else will.
